 With over 20 years of rail experience, our MD leverages his engineering sector knowledge to drive company growth. He is a strong, passionate manager committed to top-level service for both clients and staff. Kiy has been an STE4/STE7 examiner since 2009, a certified Highfields Level 3 CAVA Assessor, and recently completed his A2/GVC Drone licence. He is also certified in PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner, highlighting his advanced project management skills.

 Charlotte entered the rail industry in 2021, assisting in structure examinations, and is now the director of VAMES alongside Kiy. After passing her PTS in June 2024, she can assist both on-site and in the office. Charlotte, an organized individual with a background in running a successful business and training school, ensures staff have great career progression potential. Her diverse experience equips her with unique skills for effective people management and leadership

Maia joins us having previously worked with our directors. She is a popular, reliable and attentive member of the team and will be working closely with Charlotte to support the site staff from base.

We are keen to progress Maia's career to further her skills and once again cement herself as a key member of the team.

Billy is a hard working member of our team and holds many competencies. 

He has passed the Culvert and Retaining Walls module of his STE4 training and is now striving towards being passed out as a full examiner to examine bridges.

Billy is a Level 3 Rope Access Technician and the designated LOLER equipment inspector, he is also High Risk Confined Spaces, First Aid, & DEFRA Module 1, LANTRA Chainsaw Crosscutting and Maintenance and PASMA trained.

Billy has now stepped up into the Rope Access and Enabling Team assistant manager.

Blake, the youngest member of team Vames who joined us in November 2023, is a trainee STE4 Bridge Examiner. He is pursuing a Higher International Certificate (HIC) in Civil Engineering and plans to work towards a degree in the same field. Blake has also completed a comprehensive Bridge Inspectors Course at Sheffield University, equipping him with essential bridge inspection techniques and standards. His dedication to continuous learning and professional development makes him a valuable asset to our team.

Matthew, is the newest member to join our team, joining in January 2025. This is his first venture in to the industry and will undergo an enhanced training programme, which will include IRATA/IPAF/PTS & vegetation training amongst other courses to broaden his knowledge. 

Being new to our company and the industry, he is a good listener and a good learner, meaning he can take the first steps to a long and successful career in the civil engineering sector which will be backed up by his civil engineering degree that he will be studying.

Liam joined VAMES Ltd in March 2025, bringing three years of experience as a STE4 examiner. Specialising in masonry structures and culverts, he is a fully qualified STE4 examiner and is actively working towards expanding his expertise in metallic and concrete elements.

Liam holds a wide range of industry certifications, making him a valuable asset to our team. His keen attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality inspections ensure he delivers exceptional results on every project.

We’re delighted to welcome Mariusz to our team—a highly qualified and experienced professional whose skill set strengthens our operational capabilities across multiple sectors. Mariusz holds a vast array of competencies including IRATA Level 3 certification in rope access, COSS, SSSTS, and PASMA, and is also a certified RYA Powerboat Level 2 Pilot. He has successfully completed the culverts and retaining walls units of his STE4 course, further enhancing his infrastructure expertise. In addition to his formal qualifications, Mariusz brings valuable hands-on experience in telecoms, site maintenance, de-vegetation clearance, CCTV structural inspections, and structural maintenance. His practical knowledge, safety-first approach, and proactive attitude make him an exceptional asset as we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions to our clients.

 Jason brings with him over 15 years of experience in the rail industry, having built an impressive career across a range of roles. His journey has now come full circle, as he re-joins Kiy, the very person who first introduced him to the industry all those years ago.

Starting out in Ground and Site Inspections, Jason progressed into Safety Critical roles before moving into Level 3 Supervision, where he successfully led his own team. His expertise and leadership will be a fantastic asset to our continued growth and success.

Andrew is a multi skilled operative with a plethora of tickets and qualifications. In 4 years, Andrew has built an impressive career so far. 

He is a confident RYA level 2 boat pilot, DEFRA rescue op, IRATA Level 1 technician and has successfully passed the culverts and retaining walls module of his STE4 Examiners Course. 

His skills are used throughout the company on and off-site.
